Happy New Year from Davis, Maureen, Vaughn, Al, and Ryley!

All of us at Souptacular would like to take this moment to reflect on the past, and invite our soup-er fans to join us in celebrating the New Year. As a St. Albert family business, you make us so thankful for our jobs, and inspire us to work harder!

Like any small business, we have had our growing pains. Yes, there were MANY pots of soup that even our three boys wouldn’t eat. But it was always important to us to have a healthy balance between our family and our home business. Keeping that in perspective, our business needed to grow quite slowly. Now that the boys are older, we are looking forward to opportunities in 2014.

Now as we enter our 13th year of business, we reflect: we are so grateful for our team – a team that has brought Souptacular to this point.

Our two eldest sons are now part of our business. Ryley, 19, packages all of your soups. He makes sure that the measurements are consistently accurate, and helps with quality control.

Davis, now 16, helps Al with the seasoning and bean mixes. You will also see Davis at the Red Deer, Edmonton and St. Albert craft shows, where he helps me set up and run the shows.

Liz, Website Manager

Liz has been our website manager since 2006. Many of you may know her, as she responds to you through our newsletter and Facebook. If you have any website concerns, she is the one to talk to! She will assist and solve ANY problem! I always tell her that SHE makes us look SO good! 🙂

Jenni has worked with us since 2009. Most of you know her through the Old Strathcona Farmers Market in Edmonton. She is extremely knowledgeable about your soup, loves to share your recipe ideas, and is always excited to hear a new twist on Souptacular. In fact, she often shares your ideas on our Facebook page (“Like” us on Facebook to experience Souptacular innovations as they happen!) Jenni has also developed a successful annual craft show at her children’s elementary school (in Edmonton) where she brings Souptacular in to share with the community.

Many of you have purchased and continually share Souptacular – over the holidays, as a birthday, get well or shower gift. To those that depend on Souptacular to feed your family, looking for healthy alternatives or easy slow-cooker solutions, thanks for keeping in touch!

Wishing All of you a healthy and prosperous 2014!
And remember….

“its not just soup…its an experience”

Warmest regards,

The Souptacular Team

p.s. If you haven’t yet, try your favourite Souptacular flavour with any leftovers of the season. Christmas Spirit works GREAT with turkey (make your own broth with the bones and all!), but all our soups can be used with any meats you likely have on hand: beef, ham, turkey, goose… and if you stumble on a great new idea, send it to us so we can share it!
